According to information on CFLA’s website, Jaunzeme holds the position of industry attaché in CFLA’s Department of Development Cooperation.
CFLA representatives told the LETA agency that Jaunzeme started work on April 17.
The employment contract with Jaunzemi is concluded for a limited period of time – until March 31, 2025, as it is related to the implementation of the development cooperation project “Support for strengthening the administrative capacity of the state administration of Uzbekistan”.
Jaunzemes’ duties include coordinating the involvement of CFLA as the Development Cooperation Agency of Latvia in the implementation of the Uzbekistan Development Cooperation Project, organizing project activities (short-term training programs and other activities) in Uzbekistan and the participation of Uzbekistan’s participating institutions in project activities in Latvia.
CONTEXT:
On February 12, Jaunzeme handed over the powers to the new Director General of the SRS, Baiba Šmite-Roķe, who started performing her duties from February 13.
The government approved Šmiti-Roki in office on January 30, 2024.
