From April 29 to May 17, applications for participation in the incubation program are open in 20 regional representative offices of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA), including the Bauska representative office, as well as the Creative Industries and Technologies representative offices in Riga.

“By participating in the incubation program, companies will have the opportunity to receive both grants and other types of support to develop their business ideas. In this program, we focus on the support of companies working in innovative and technologically intensive or creative industries, which objectively need more time for the promotion of their products or services in export markets,” emphasizes Iveta Strupkāja, Acting Director of LIAA, adding that in general, until the middle of 2027, this program has available support in the amount of 32.7 million euros.
Companies registered in Latvia up to five years old, working with technologies, developing innovative products or services, as well as businessmen from the creative industries with a developed product or service at least at a minimum viable level can apply for incubation support.
Application for the LIAA incubation program is based on the administrative-territorial division or regional principle. LIAA regional offices are located in Jurmala, Tukum, Valmiera, Cēsis, Smiltene, Madona, Gulbene, Alūksne, Sigulda, Liepāja, Saldu, Ventspils, Kuldīga, Talsi, Jelgava, Bauska, Ogre, Jēkabpils, Rēzekne and Daugavpils.

The LIAA representative office in Bauska is located at Katoļu street 3, and the representative office can be contacted by e-mail [email protected] or phone +371 28785062.
Incubation support must be applied for in Bauska, but the specialist of the advisory commission and the incubation support program will be provided at the LIAA representative office in Jelgava. An entrepreneur can get advice on various issues related to the incubation program in Bauska.
It is planned that 2 to 10 companies will be admitted to the incubation program in each representative office and admission will take place twice a year in spring and autumn.

LIAA informs that the new call will be a continuation of LIAA’s regional business incubators project, within the framework of which 685 businessmen received support in the form of grants from 2016 to 2023. 1,044 newly established businesses have received various types of non-financial support, creating 2,568 new jobs. 92 companies were supported in the field of creative industries. On the other hand, another 3173 natural persons and businessmen received non-financial support in the pre-incubation program.
The funding used in the project in the previous planning period was 35.2 million euros, while the amount of taxes paid to the State Treasury by the companies participating in the program reached 47.1 million euros.
