As the holiday on May 1 approaches, we would like to inform you about the upcoming changes, and we also want to encourage passengers to use buses not only on route 22, but also on other routes to get to Parventa.

May 1 – holiday

On Wednesday, May 1, public transport in the city of Ventspils will run as on Sunday.

Buses on the routes of Ventspils region will run according to the timetables valid on public holidays.

No changes are planned in the intercity routes served by the Ventspils route on May 1, and the buses will run according to the timetables.

Bus route 22 is not the only one in the city of Ventspils

The favorite route of Ventspils city public transport passengers for many years is no. 22 “Inženieru iela – Celtnieku iela”, and it is often forgotten that you can also travel from the city center to Pärventa or vice versa – from Pärventa to the city center – with buses of other routes.

It has been observed that in the most popular times, for example, between 7.30 and 8.00, buses on route no. 22 in the direction of Parventa are overcrowded, while buses on other routes run half-empty.

We remind you that during the mentioned time passengers can also use

  • route no. 3 “Sārnates iela – Siguldas iela”, which runs from Monday to Saturday and departs from the “Swedbanka” stop at 7.40 am and in Pārventa, Siguldas iela at 7.52 am; this route also serves the center of Parventas and stops at the stops “Tārgales iela”, “Pārventas market” and “Viesnīca Wave“;
  • route no. 2A “Bucher – Apvedtilts – Celtnieku iela”, which runs on working days and departs from the “Bucher” stop at 7:22 a.m., and from the “Swedbanka” stop at 7:28 a.m.;
  • route no. 8 “Staldzene – centrs”, which departs from the stop “Swedbanka” at 7:30 a.m. on weekdays; the route from the city center continues along the Great Avenue and includes stops such as “Olympic Center” and “Tobago”.
