Rain and storm clouds will move from south to north. Heavy rains are expected in places, large hail and damaging wind gusts are also possible locally.

Heavy rain and snow is also expected in the eastern part of the country on Wednesday morning and during the day. The daily total amount of precipitation can exceed 30 millimeters in some places, which corresponds to the monthly norm.

Rainfall is expected throughout Latvia on Wednesday, but it will be much less in the west than in the east. The rain will turn into snow, a blizzard is also expected. In the afternoon in some parts of the country, in the evening, a layer of snow will form in many places, the roads will become slippery.

The air temperature will drop significantly, on Wednesday afternoon it will be -1..+4 degrees. Gusts of wind from the west and north are expected up to 10-15 meters per second, in places on the coast – up to 20 meters per second. The air quality will become good.

Rain is expected in Riga in the next 24 hours, during the day it will turn into wet snow and blizzard. The wind will blow from the north, northwest, gusts up to 18 meters per second are expected in the second half of the day, the air temperature will drop to +1 degree.
