Remigrant entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs are invited to an informative event in Valmiera

The Vidzeme planning region invites remigrant entrepreneurs, as well as remigrants who want to start their own business and possibly plan to apply for support in the grant competition, to an informative event. It will take place on Friday, April 5, from 15.00 to 18.00 in the integrated library of Valmiera.

The purpose of the event is to provide an insight into the recently announced grant competition for remigrant entrepreneurs, as well as to give an opportunity to existing remigrant entrepreneurs to share their experiences.

During the event, valuable tips and information will be provided by:

  • Zelma Mičule, Vidzeme planning region project expert
  • Inguna Zukure, chief project manager of the municipality of Valmiera region
  • Inga Madžule, Vidzeme region remigration coordinator

The following will share their stories about starting a business and career development after returning to Latvia:

  • Elīna Muižniece, owner of the company “Smukcepures” from Valmiera region
  • Ilze Apine, “Glass by Lira” stained glass artist from Limbažu region
  • Zane Magone, owner of z/s “Priedīte” from Limbažu district
  • Daniela Bandena, business development expert from Valmiera region
  • Santa Cora Barsana-Crespo, freelance artist and tattoo artist from Cēsis county

The event is open to all interested parties free of charge. No prior application is required. This will provide an opportunity to gain in-depth insight into the integration of remigrants into Latvian society and information about support opportunities for starting a business.
