A complaint has been submitted to the Procurement Supervision Office (IUB) in the procurement of the Riga Freeport Authority regarding the construction of the road section from the container terminal to the parking lot for cargo vehicles in Kundziņsala, according to information on the IUB website.
The complaint was submitted by SIA “Tilts”. The deadline for considering the complaint has not yet been determined.
Information in the Electronic Procurement System shows that nine financial offers were submitted in the procurement of the Riga Freeport Authority. The right to conclude the contract was won by SIA “Asfaltbūve” with a contract price of 1.05 million euros.
Offers were also submitted by “Tilts” with a contract price of 1.049 million euros, SIA “DSM” – 1.07 million euros, road construction company SIA “Binders” – 1.124 million euros, SIA “Pillar Contractor” – 1.28 million euros, SIA ” Roadeks” – 1.433 million euros, SIA “SC Grupa” – 1.563 million euros, SIA “CTB” – 1.701 million euros and SIA “Ceļinieks 01” – 1.768 million euros.
The closing report of the procurement states that “Tilts” did not submit the offer security specified in the regulations, therefore the applicant’s offer was rejected as not meeting the requirements of the regulations.
The construction works are carried out within the framework of the European Infrastructure Interconnection Instrument (EISI) project “Increasing the dual-use capacity of the port of Riga by investing in road and railway access and pier infrastructure”.
The Port of Riga is the largest port in Latvia in terms of transshipped cargo.
