“Our concert “Palladium” is sold out, but today we report that an additional concert has been announced,” band member Žanis Pavlovskis said in the “900 seconds” program. It will take place not in Palladium, but in the Andrejosta quarter. The duo indicated that the additional concert will take place on June 7. It is intended as a summer music show.

The group “OLAS” was created several years ago by two then students of Riga Stradins University, Arvis Reiks and Žanis Pavlovskis. They conceived it as a humor project, which unexpectedly quickly gained popularity after their song “Zemgus Girgensons” was played during halftime of a National Hockey League (NHL) game. Several influential US media have written about Latvian young hip-hop artists, including “Washington Post” and “GQ”. In 10 years, “OLAS” has reached more than 35 million views on the “Youtube” platform.

At the concert, you will be able to hear such popular hits as “Priekšnieku Nav”, “Pāri Okeānam”, “Dživot Kaif”, “Dživoju Pie Mammas”, “Prezidents” and “Dauvz Naudas”.

“We could not even imagine that our “joke” would go so far and the group called “OLAS” would live for 10 years. We have played so many concerts that I don’t even really know the number. It all started as a joke, which is probably not a joke anymore, because 10 years is a big and serious number. That is why we want to invite you all to our 10-year anniversary big concert – on April 12, 2024, in the Palladium concert hall. There will be guests, there will be a show, there will be a ball! We will be very prepared and waiting for you all!”
