Karina Amaj, who lives in the USA, grew up in a religious family. Her parents checked and often took away her cell phone every night. Also, the time allotted to her for using social networks was limited.
Despite this, she met and began secretly dating her now-husband and the father of her twin girls at the age of 13.
Two years later, at the age of 15, Karina let him into her bedroom for the first time, resulting in a completely unexpected pregnancy. Afraid of her parents’ reaction, she hid it for five months until the girl’s mother became very suspicious, forcing her to confess.
Looking back on what happened, Karina remembers that at that time she felt “terrible”, she thought that life was over and that her father was leaving the house.
“When my parents found out, my dad went to his room and closed the door and stayed in there, and my mom started crying on the floor,” she recalls.
But later things changed for the better, her parents slowly came to terms with the news.
She remembers the moment her father came home from work one evening and gave her the words of support she desperately wanted to hear. He has said that everything will be fine and that he will support his daughter on her first journey as a mother.
Karina also tells that her father started building a room for his unborn granddaughters.
The young woman also shared why she kept the pregnancy despite what society thinks about her.
“A lot of people judge us, I’ve received a lot of hateful comments… that I should have had an abortion – that my future and my life are over. Being a mom means something very special to me. I know what my mom means to me, so I know what I will mean to my girls,” she says.
However, she admits that being a mother of two children at once is very hard work.
