Ellen Mercer was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in February last year after she reported she could no longer walk, her legs were numb, and she died there about 24 hours later, British tabloid Metro reported.
He was probably killed by laughing gas. She was inhaling up to three bottles of laughing gas every day, an inquest heard.
A post-mortem report found that Ellen’s death was caused by bilateral pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis and “complications from long-term nitrous oxide use”.
It turns out that the woman’s legs were on fire after throwing a gas canister on them, so she has not been able to walk or go to the toilet for two weeks.
Elena’s friend showed the doctors a box of laughing gas canisters, identified as nitrous oxide. “I’ve never seen such big bottles,” the doctor said.
The UK government is considering a ban on the sale of laughing gas in England and Wales due to concerns about harmful side effects and as part of efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour.
