Ukraine mysteriously comments on the new attack on the Crimean bridge: This information cannot harm anyone

The Crimean bridge is a military object that needs to be destroyed, and this is known information. This is what Andrei Yusov, the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said, commenting on the publication in The Guardian newspaper about the destruction of the Crimean bridge in the first half of 2024. He pointed out that The Guardian certainly has its sources, and a lot of material has been published in the West recently with rather loud headlines citing certain sources. “It is not always correct to comment on anonymous information,” added the GUR representative.

According to him, the information published in the media about the intention to destroy the Crimean bridge cannot harm anyone, but make the occupiers guard it even more intensively.

“We can claim that the Russians are constantly reporting to the Kremlin that this time all security measures have already been taken. Therefore, it is unlikely that the occupiers will be able to be scared off with any new information. But the fact is that all military targets, and this object is a military target, must be neutralized, so this is not new information,” Yusov stressed.

The Guardian, citing its sources in the GUR, wrote that the intelligence services were planning a third attack on the bridge, claiming that the destruction of the bridge was “inevitable”.

It was noted that during successful attacks on Russian oil refineries deep in the rear of the front, the GUR, which standing behind these operations, is looking for new targets – the Crimean bridge connecting Russia with the occupied peninsula.

Citing a high-ranking official, the Central Intelligence Directorate wrote that it is about the destruction of the bridge in the first half of 2024.
