It was revealed that the organizer of the funeral was 38-year-old Jacky Jhaj, a convicted pedophile.

He booked the oratorio for Laura Zaube’s funeral and posed as Laura’s grieving brother Clyde. The man even showed the death certificate of Laura Zaubes, which was reportedly issued in Russia, to the funeral home. Last month, MailOnline revealed that Lauris and the criminal in question had previously known each other, based on a video in which the two are seen next to each other. The video led to speculation that Lauris might still be alive.

The priest admitted the sex offender had attended a fake funeral when he was shown his images. He said: “I saw him in church and he had dark glasses on and when I looked at him he turned away. I have no idea who he is or why he did it.”

“I have never been involved in this kind of affair, it is disrespectful to the church,” he added, describing the mourners who were actors as respectful and polite, although one complained he had not been paid.

The funeral had to be luxurious – a horse-drawn hearse, a choir, and a video operator took part in the process.

Sex maniac Jackie was jailed for four years in 2016 for having sex with two 15-year-old girls.

These facts and reasons for action have been investigated by both domestic and UK police, but no public findings have yet been released.

Expertises have been ordered in the criminal trial, but currently there is no evidence that a criminal offense has been committed against Zaubi, the representative of the VP stated.

As LETA informed, Zaube, who was born in 2001, was last seen on January 1 of this year around 2 a.m. in the guest house “Pēterstraupes” in Straupciem, Sala parish. Zaube probably left the guest house and went in the direction of Gātciems.
