The loss of Russian troops in Ukraine has reached 439,970 soldiers by Thursday morning, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army.
According to the data of the general staff, 780 invaders were destroyed during the day.
Since the beginning of the repeated invasion on February 24, 2022, the Russians have lost 6,914 tanks, 13,237 armored personnel carriers, 10,963 cannons and mortars, 1,021 multi-charge jets, 729 anti-aircraft artillery, 347 airplanes, 325 helicopters, 8,590 drones, 2017 cruise missiles, 26 ships and speedboats, one submarine, 14,595 cars and tankers, as well as 1,800 units of specialized equipment.
The extent of Russia’s losses is being clarified, as the acquisition of information is hindered by hostilities.
Ukraine shot down 26 Russian drones at night
Ukraine’s air defense has shot down 26 drones launched by Russia at targets in Ukraine last night, the Ukrainian Air Force announced on Thursday.
At night, Russia fired at Ukraine with three cruise missiles “H-22” and a missile “H-31P” from the Black Sea and anti-aircraft missiles “S-300” from the Donetsk region, and also launched 28 attack drones “Shahed” on the platform “Telegram” ” said Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk.
26 “Shahed” were shot down over Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions.
Russia regularly attacks Ukraine from the air, and in recent weeks has stepped up attacks on infrastructure, including power plants. On Wednesday, three people were killed in Russian strikes in eastern and southern Ukraine.
