In the series with the Heat, Porzingis missed the game after injuring the calf muscle of his right leg. “Celtics” analyst Steve Bulpett writes in his “X” (formerly “Twitter”) account that Kristaps could appear on the court already in the series with “Cavaliers”.

In the first half, the Cavaliers, mainly thanks to Donovan Mitchell’s 17 points and Isaac Okoro’s 11 points, did not let Boston go too far. “Celtics” went into the big break with a 10-point advantage – 59:49.

Cleveland still had enough power for the third quarter, but the Celtics started the fourth with a 10-2 breakthrough, reaching +23, 102-79. In the remaining time, Boston increased its advantage even more, winning a convincing victory 120:95.

Jaylen Brown scored 32, Derrick White 25, Jayson Tatum 18 and Drew Holiday 14 for the Celtics.

Donovan Mitchell scored 33, Evan Mobley 17, Darius Garland 14 and Aizek Okoro 11 for the Cavaliers.

The second game of the series will take place on the night of Friday, Latvian time, right there in Boston’s “TD Garden” arena.
