Media: The Spanish club has offered Schmidt the most lucrative contract in his career

ULEB Euroleague club “Valencia” has offered Latvian basketball player Rolandas Šmitas the most profitable contract in his career, the portal “sportacentrs.com” reports.

Based on the information at the disposal of the portal, the Valencia club has made a contract offer for three years, receiving more than one million euros in each of the seasons.

This season, Šmits scored an average of 10.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in 23 minutes in 31 matches in ULEB Euroleague as part of Kaunas “Žalgiris”. He made shots from the game with 51% accuracy, including 37% long shots. Last year, “Žalgiris” extended the contract with Šmitas until the end of the 2025/2026 season. Valmierietis is spending his second season in the Kaunas club.

Before joining the Kaunas team, Šmits represented “Barcelona” since 2017, concluding a five-year agreement at that time. After spending his first year on loan with Fuenlabrada’s Montakit, he played 107 ULEB Euroleague games with Barcelona over the next four seasons, averaging 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds.
