Last night in the National Basketball Association (NBA), the second round of the “play-off” in the Western Conference began with a victory for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who defeated the champions Denver Nuggets 106-99 on the road.

The Timberwolves got off to a great start as the Nuggets dominated the second and third quarters again. The turning point of the match was in the middle of the fourth quarter – with the score 84:84 wolves made an 18-7 breakthrough, from which Denver never recovered.

Anthony Edwards had a fantastic performance for the Timberwolves, breaking the club’s playoff scoring record with 43 points. Despite the scoring issues, Edwards was paced by Karl-Anthony Towns with 20 points and Naz Reed added 16 points, 14 of which came in the fourth quarter. Another 14 points and 10 assists for veteran Michael Conley.

Nikola Jokic had 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists for the Nuggets, but it should be noted that the Serbian committed seven errors. 20 points for Michael Porter Jr., while 17 points for Jamal Murray.
