In the first two games on Tuesday, KKR/Briedis won 8-5 and 11-4.
In the team led by Briež, the initial composition was exactly the same as in last year’s championship, but due to external circumstances, Linda Meijer could not play, Polina Rozhkova joined the team instead. At the beginning of March, this team won the fifth place in the world championship, earning Latvia points in the Paralympic Games qualification.
After a one-year break, Dimboskis has taken on the role of skipper for the Paralympic Curling Association “Alliance” team. He was recovering from an injury in Canada the previous year. Andrejs Dimants was a newcomer to the team, for whom this was the first championship with the team.
