The training sessions in the Louvre galleries will be led by skilled trainers and instructors, while the participants of the classes will also have the opportunity to be inspired by world-famous paintings and sculptures. The organizers expect that the program announced on Tuesday, April 23, will promote interest in the Olympic Games in Paris and allow visitors to feel more belonging to the most important sports forum of the quadrennial.

“The Louvre is physically located in the center of Paris and will also be physically in the center of the Olympic Games,” explained the head of the museum, Laurent Dekar.

The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on July 26 is scheduled for the Seine River, which flows next to the Louvre. Nearby, on Concordia Square, the Olympic Games will host skateboarding and breakdancing competitions, which are included in the competition program for the first time.

The Louvre is one of the five Parisian museums involved in the Olympic program of interaction between culture and sport.

Among them, you will be able to participate in sports activities at the Orsay Museum, where the paintings of the world-famous Impressionists are on display.

The municipality of Paris presented on Tuesday the cultural and social activities program of the Olympic Games, which envisages placing 26 fan zones in the city and setting up two places of honor where the medalists will have the opportunity to meet with fans. Local organizers want the Olympic Games to be felt not only in stadiums and gymnasiums, but in every area of Paris.

To make visiting the Olympic Games more convenient and enjoyable, a special transport app has been created in Paris, which will help you avoid getting into traffic jams and offer different options to get to your desired destination. The overcrowded Paris metro is one of the main causes of concern in the Olympic transport network, and local authorities have already encouraged Parisians to walk or cycle more.

The Paris Olympics will end on August 11, but from August 28 to September 8, the Paralympic Games will take over the relays in the French capital.
