“Zellliam” has a budget of around 600,000 this season, almost 6,000 tickets sold – Basketball – Sportacentrs.com

After withdrawing from the joint Latvian-Estonian basketball league, Edgars Buļs, president of “Zeļļ” Riga, gave a report on the season so far. According to him, an average of 775 spectators watched the games of “Zeļļi” in the regular season. In the course of the season, it had a total of 138 members, who contributed a total of 26,480 thousand euros to the club’s coffers. On the other hand, ticket revenues are estimated at 63 thousand euros from approximately six thousand tickets sold, which generates around 90 thousand euros from member and ticket sales revenues (89.5).

During the season, the team attracted 23 sponsors who supported the club financially. Their support ranged from three thousand to 100 thousand euros. The biggest supporters of the team were “Betsafe”, “Sefinance”, “Gjensidige”, “Eco Baltia Vide” and “OneBlade”. Six supporters acted as technical sponsors – the “Turībā” team was able to hold training sessions, “Sportland” provided club paraphernalia and clothed the unit, 885 helped with drinking water, “Truefit” with sports nutrition, “OX Drive” ‘ with displacement. Technical support was also provided by “Sorainen”. Club paraphernalia sold for 12 thousand euros. The total budget of the first season of “Zeļļu” is estimated at 600 to 650 thousand euros.

“Zeļļi” will continue its season in the quarterfinals of the Latvian Basketball League, where it will face “Valmiera Glass”/ViA. The team has lost to this team once in the season, conceding in the first game of the Latvian Cup quarter-finals. The streak of up to three victories against the team coached by Nikolay Mazur will begin on April 8.
