Spring exhibition of Tukuma Artists Group

On display in the “Durvis” art gallery Spring exhibition of Tukuma Artists Group.

The Tukuma Artists’ Group was founded in 1983 and last fall celebrated its 40th anniversary. On the other hand, as spring approaches, the artists of the group keep the Art Days tradition alive by organizing an exhibition in the Art Gallery “Durvis” in Tukum.

Exhibition “Hunters’ Stories” in Durbe Palace

On the second floor of the Durbe Palace, it can be viewed exhibition “Hunters’ Stories”.“. Animals and hunting scenes are captured in paintings, engravings and statuettes of the 18th-19th century, supplemented by hunting horns, powder horns, weapons and other hunting paraphernalia. Along with the artworks of the authors of that time, the artworks of such outstanding artists as the painters Johann Heinrich Baumans and Jakob Samuels Beck, the engraver Johann Elias Ridinger and the sculptor Gilles Moignes are also exhibited. In order to learn about the world of animals, the exhibition has also prepared tasks for the youngest museum visitors.

The exhibition was created in cooperation with: Latvian National Art Museum, Latvian National Library, Riga Stock Exchange Art Museum, Riga History and Shipping Museum, Latvian War Museum, Rundāle Castle Museum, Jūrmala Museum, Jaunmoku Castle, Kuldīgas County Museum.

Ieva Krumiņa’s photo exhibition “About fathers and daughters”

Can be seen at the Džukste Fairy Tale Museum Ieva Krumiņa’s photo exhibition “About fathers and daughters”. It is complemented by items from the collection of the Tukuma Museum, which reflect the occupation of the fathers seen in the photographs.

The author of the exhibition is the talented photographer, creator of home interior items, personalized gifts and beauty items, Ieva Krūmiņa. In the photographs created by Ieva, the warm relations between fathers and daughters, the immeasurable joy of being together, care for each other, mutual love and respect from the moment of birth to adulthood are reflected in the exhibition. Ieva’s photos inspire, please, make us proud and lead us to think about the most important thing for us – our family.

The exhibition “How weavers were made in Tukuma. We weaved 50”

It can be seen at the Weavers’ workshop in Tukuma exhibition “How weavers became Tukuma. We weaved 50”marking the 50th anniversary of TLMS “Durbe”.

The exhibition provides an insight into the 50-year history of weavers – from the beginning to the present day – the best performance of the members of TLMS “Durbe” is on display, as well as exhibited items from the collection of the Tukuma Museum.
