However, as the war in Ukraine has been going on for the third year, perhaps some people who previously celebrated May 9 have revised their values. “I don’t know how much sanity or madness one must have in order to be able to tolerate and support the war,” said Ruk, while agreeing that part of society continues to celebrate this day and covertly place some forbidden symbols, expressing support for what is happening.

“Underneath every letter Z drawn under the cover of night lies an inner enemy,” the police chief said.

He emphasized that the active work of the police and security services results in arrests, and potential rule breakers also count on this. No lawbreaker wants to be caught, so all signs of attempted crime are concealed, yet police resources are concentrated and on high alert.

Meanwhile, the past day has passed relatively peacefully.

Rook urged police to report violations, including fireworks, if caught. “Perhaps you don’t need to intervene yourself, but if you manage to record the violation, it can help the police to identify the persons later,” explained the police chief.
