Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will be inaugurated on Tuesday in Moscow for his fifth term after the so-called presidential elections.

The 71-year-old master of the Kremlin has ruled Russia since the beginning of the millennium. He was “re-elected” for another six-year term in a mock election in March.

The inauguration ceremony will be broadcast live by the largest Russian television channels.

After taking the presidential oath, he will give a short address to the nation.

Russian government officials and foreign diplomats in Moscow have been invited to the ceremony, such as French Ambassador Pierre Levy, who may also attend the event.

Other European countries, including Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic, have indicated that their representatives will not attend the event.

On May 9, Russia will celebrate the so-called Victory Day, the symbolic importance of which has increased in the eyes of the totalitarian regime, because Putin’s propaganda tries to equate Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with the fight against Nazi Germany during the Second World War.

In connection with both events, security barriers have been placed in the center of Moscow.

Meanwhile, the public is worried that after the “inauguration” Putin will announce a new mobilization to provide “cannon fodder” for the war against Ukraine.

Some analysts suggest that Putin could use the “inauguration” to make changes in the composition of the government. The law stipulates that the current government must resign before a new presidential term.
