Variety of drives

The new Tiguan’s engine range includes a variety of powertrains, including the economical 1.5 eTSI petrol engine with 48V partial hybrid technology, delivering 96 kW (130 hp) and 110 kW (150 hp). This innovative system improves acceleration, supports electric-only driving in certain conditions and optimizes fuel efficiency, providing opportunities to save up to 0.5 l/100 km. Among the diesel engines, there is a 2.0 TDI SCR engine available with 110 kW (150 hp) and a more powerful 4MOTION version with 142 kW (193 hp). Plug-in hybrid with an electric range of up to 120 km

The new Tiguan eHybrid offers a range of up to 120 kilometers (WLTP) on electric power. A 19.7kWh lithium-ion battery and CCS (combined charging system) suitable for up to 11kW alternating current (AC) and 50kW fast direct current (DC) charging are now standard. Using the DC charger, charging the battery from 0% to 80% takes only 25 minutes, while using the AC charger, the battery can be charged from 1% to 100% in two hours.

In addition, the augmented reality head-up display improves navigation by projecting the lane view directly onto the windshield, helping the driver to change lanes in time, as well as visualizing the current driving speed and dynamic road sign recognition. The new rotary switch with a small screen located in the center console can be used to adjust driving modes, radio volume or interior lighting colors. In turn, many car functions, including steering wheel heating or air conditioning, can be easily adjusted using the new IDA voice assistant, which is based on the artificial intelligence platform ChatGPT.

Depending on the equipment, the lumbar support of the ergoActive front seats can be adjusted in four directions and set with a pneumatic 10-chamber pressure point massage function, and the seat heating and ventilation can be activated automatically depending on the temperature outside.
