This is how the police visited the asylum of four drug dealers in Riga, Pārdaugava. The gang was arrested for possession and sale of illegal substances. Drug sales mostly took place in Imanta and Torņakaln, as well as on Latgales Street, Ķengarag.

“Information was received about an organized group dealing with the sale of amphetamine in Riga. There were strictly divided roles: there was one organizer, there were persons who were responsible for the financial flow, for the placement of hideouts in the territory of Riga. When a complex of special and operational investigation activities were carried out, when appropriate conditions arose, this group was detained at the same time.”
The alleged organizer of the group is in prison for other criminal offenses and coordinated his illegal operation through the Telegram media, where he communicated not only with his subordinates, but also with potential clients.

“The scheme was such that, according to our information, the organizer was in one of the places of deprivation of liberty in Latvia, coordinated the activities of his group, coordinated the flow of money, the placement of hiding places. Persons received some instructions from him, they followed them. Then the organizer contacted the potential customers.”
After the search, the police confiscated one and a half kilograms of amphetamine, items for packaging drugs, including scales and bags, as well as a “Volkswagen” car. Detainees for such crimes face imprisonment from five to fifteen years.
