Maundy Thursday will pass with relatively calm and warm weather. There will be variable amount of clouds in the sky, the day will be dry, only in places in the west, mainly in the south-west of the country, rain is expected, reports the Center of Environment, Geology and Meteorology of Latvia (LVĜMC).
A light to moderate southeasterly wind will blow, and it will be gusty at times. The air will warm up to +12…+17 degrees, only it will be cooler on the side of Kolka, Roja, Mersrag and Engure.
At the end of the week, rain is expected in large areas on Friday as well as on Saturday. The current forecast shows that the weather will remain warm on Easter, the air could warm up to +19…+21 degrees in some parts of Latvia.
LVĜMC indicates that there is a probability that cumulus rain clouds will form in the warm air, therefore, thunderstorms may be observed in some places on the First and Second Easters.

It is very likely that cooler weather will return to Latvia after the almost summer-like warm holidays.
