On the evening of May 7, 2024, the colleague and four-legged friend of State Police canine specialist Ginta Vuškānas, Darwins, who served in the State Police Service with honor and success for 9 years, went to other hunting grounds, the State Police informs.

“Darwin, my Darwin.. today Your heart stopped beating forever. Now you are with your service brothers and together you are making plans for the next adventures. Darwin, 9 years old, in the State Police Service all his life.

So much has been accomplished, so many success stories have been experienced together, that several books could be written about what has been achieved and experienced. Looking for narcotics and tobacco products, he got it, we got it together, we were a team. Today, many hearts are breaking again.. Breaking from the experience.. It hurts, oh, how that damned heart hurts, when again one of your friends leaves to look out from the edge of the cloud. Darwin was so fantastic, so capable.. Sometimes even a person is not so, so smart, so resourceful. In our hearts, you will forever remain the best friend, the house guard, the best colleague. I express my gratitude to all those involved who tried to save Darwin, thank you to the Livani veterinary clinic “Livet” and the doctors of Jelgava!”, warm and sincere words for his colleague and friend, canine specialist Gints Vuškāns.
