Those who follow the contours of Eurovision outside the live broadcasts of the show know that every year there is a romantic atmosphere between some of the participants. This probably happened this year as well, this time with Lithuanian representative Silvesters Belt and Swiss representative Nemo.

Although the two artists have not officially confirmed anything, both have openly talked about their feelings for each other in interviews with the media.

For example, in an interview from the Eurovision turquoise carpet, the Swiss said that as soon as he hears the name Lithuania, he immediately thinks of Silvester. After Eurovision, he is even ready to visit Silvester in Lithuania.

The Lithuanian himself has also spoken positively about his relationship with Nemo – in one of the interviews he reveals that the two get along very well, he likes to spend time with Nemo and, in his opinion, the representative of Switzerland is handsome.

The two have also flirted publicly on the microblogging site ‘X’, with Sylvester jokingly asking if Nemo is married with a picture.

As it turns out, Sylvester Belt is the first representative of the LGBTQ+ community to ever represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest. In an interview with “PinkNews”, he revealed that there is a fear of being associated with the LGBTQ+ commune in the Lithuanian music scene, as it could negatively affect the artist’s career.

Switzerland’s representative Nemo has also previously been open about his sexuality – in an interview with “Wiwibloggs” he says: “The Eurovision platform offers a huge opportunity to build bridges between different cultures and generations. That’s why it’s so important to me as a genderqueer person to stand up for the entire LGBTQIA+ community.”

We would like to remind you that the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, in which the Latvian representative Don will also perform, will take place already tonight, May 9.
