In August, the Canadian trio “Timber Timbre” will perform at “Hanza Peron” / Article

The music of “Timber Timbre” may have been unknowingly heard by some movie and TV series fans in Latvia, because it is heard in the series “Breaking Bad”, “Russian Doll”, “Orange Is The New Black” and others, as well as in the documentary film “Wild Wild Country ” and in the controversial horror “The Last Exorcism: Part II”.

An early album review states: “To frontman Taylor Kirk (Taylor Kirk) has style, no doubt. In his rich hum, we hear a bit of Elvis Presley’s pursed-lipped smirk, a bit of Nick Cave’s businesslike rumble. His darkly brooding retro rock songs are spare and a little lazy. If David Lynch ever had to shoot the series “Mad Men”, Kirk and his colleagues would definitely compose a soundtrack for it.” Seven full-length and two short recordings later, “Timber Timbre” is known as a trio, in which, in addition to Taylor Kirk, keyboardist Mike Dubeau also plays music (Mike Dubue) and percussionist Bradley Schreiber (Bradley Schreiber).

The few upcoming “Timber Timbre” concerts in Europe this summer are in honor of the still relevant last year’s release “Loveage”, which the author himself considers the most complete and exciting in his catalog. In addition, six years passed between the last albums, during which Kirk and his friends not only actively performed concerts, but also gave advice as a producer to other musicians.

It has already been mentioned that this year in August it will be five years since “Hanza Peron” opened its doors after the ambitious reconstruction in the summer of 2019. To celebrate this, on the one hand, rather short measured road, and, on the other hand, looking into the distance, where “rails stretch from Peron”, several bright cultural and artistic events are expected until the end of August.
