Gulbene City Retired Association is one of the seven institutions that, by participating in the competition, has been given the opportunity to realize the project of its group of needlewomen by receiving funding. Aivars Circens, chairman of the board of the Gulbene pensioners’ association, informs about this.

A. Circens says that the informal education program “Eclectics in interior decorations” is implemented with the financial support of the municipality of Gulbene region – 900 euros. Co-financing was awarded in the non-formal education program co-financing competition of Gulbene region.
Interior design is the art of creating a space in which a person will feel maximum comfort, because it is one of the most important factors that affects our emotional state and working abilities. The most characteristic elements of the eclectic style are not only the combination of patterns and colors, but also the combination of different materials and textures, including vintage items, while making extensive use of the skills to use digital tools.
The program will be implemented from May in the premises of Gulbene City Pensioners Association, Klēts Street 6, under the supervision of Pārslas Hamotes, the leader of the group of needlewomen, meeting on Fridays.

The duration of the program is 54 hours. Valentina Stepanova and Antra Trusle will share their knowledge. Not only association members and not only pensioners, but any person who is interested in interior design can apply. Each person must make a co-payment of 10 euros for the purchase of materials. The program will end with an exhibition of works in the cultural center of Gulbene district.
