Statistical data show that heart failure is more common than malignant tumors in European countries. Unfortunately, it cannot be cured without medicine. How else can patients be helped, we explain in the program How to live better. Says the head of the heart failure working group of the Latvian Association of Cardiologists Ginta Camzolapresident of the Latvian Association of Nephrologists, associate professor at Riga Stradins University Ieva Ziedina and head of the association “ParSirdi.lv”. Inese Mauriņa.

Inese Mauriņa points out that this year’s heart (low) capacity days, more emphasis is placed on the fact that this disease can be treated and, thanks to modern medicine and technology, help a person return to a healthy life. But a lot depends on the person himself.

Greater emphasis on the relationship of heart failure to other diseases, other diagnoses from which heart failure has developed, or which are consequences of heart failure.

The first event of Heart Failure Days will take place on May 9 at 17 on the Facebook page of the association “ParSirdi.lv”.

On the other hand, on May 11, Inese Mauriņa invites Rudolf Ceseishko to meet her, to exercise together at Māras pond.

Ginta Kamzola admits that heart failure is a consequence of other heart diseases and not only heart diseases. Not everyone with heart disease also has heart failure.

The doctor points out that it is important to start observing prevention in time, to follow a healthy lifestyle in order to delay the occurrence of heart diseases.

“If heart disease is not diagnosed and treated in time, it can lead to heart failure. The sooner it is detected and treated, the better the quality of life in general,” admits Ginta Kamzola.

High blood pressure can lead to heart failure in the long term.

Nowadays, physical exertion is much less harmful to heart health, more harm is caused by insufficient physical exertion.
