A new phase of cold weather awaits Eastern Europe. Tiškovecs, the leading specialist of the FOBOS meteorological center, called it an “ultrapolar invasion” with snow “projectiles”.

Varakin, head of the Roshidromet Situation Center, was a bit more reserved: he claims that by May 12, Eastern Europe will be “covered” by a strong cold that will affect various areas.

The temperature will be 4-6 degrees lower than the norm, it corresponds rather to the beginning of April, Varakin said on foreign radio air. – On May 9, you should dress warmer, because a cold wind will blow, and the temperature will not exceed 5-10 degrees.

In addition, short-term precipitation is possible from May 8 to 9, and rain with wet snow is most likely at night. It will affect areas to the north and northeast of Eastern Europe.

The reason for this is a series of cyclones coming to us from the North Atlantic Ocean. And they won’t leave us alone until May 12. But then forecasters promise that the second half of May will compensate us for the cold days and the weather conditions will return to climatic, ie positive values.
