Friday, May 10, at At 16.00 in Daugavpils, in the Central Library of Latgale on the 2nd floor (Rīgas street 22a), there will be a meeting with the singer, writer and member of several public organizations, Stanislav Volodjko.
Stanislav Volodjko was born in the Ostrovetska district of the Grodno region. Graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Belarusian State University. In 1997, he was admitted to the Writers’ Union of Belarus. The author is a member of the International Association of Writers and Publicists. Awarded the Franciska Skorin medal, badge of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, honorary articles and diplomas. The poet actively participates in the work of the Daugavpils Belarusian Cultural Center and the literary life of the city. For many years, his works have been published in the collection “Poetry Days” published in Daugavpils. S. Volodjko writes both poems and fairy tales for children in Russian and Belarusian.
Stanislav Volodjko has published the following collections of poems: “Обращение к сердцу”, “Под небом Родины”, “На хавалах хавалаванная”, “У вача Айчыны”, “Памяци гаючая трава”, “На тойз зерми”, “Ад вытоку да вустця” , as well as children’s poems and fairy tales. 3 volumes of collected articles have been published. The poet is also known as a songwriter and many of his poems have been set to music. The songs are included in the collections: “Песні и рамансы”, “Песенны масток”, “Песенный горад” and in the CDs “Верю в свою звезду”, “Полынь и медуница”, “Хай обочник все бучу…”, “Астры дабрыні”.
