A disabled person experiences a bad situation at the Riga Central Market

--

On the last working day of last year, Sergejs and his wife went shopping in the Riga Central Market for the festive table. Since the man has been granted a permit by CSDD to use the parking spaces intended for the disabled, he parked his vehicle there this time as well, reports “Bez Tabu”.

The parking spaces near the Central Market are managed by a private company – “Park expert”, which after about two months sent information to Sergej that a large fine of 30 euros was given for not paying for the use of the parking space.

The notification is accompanied by a photo recording that Sergejs entered and left the territory with a motor vehicle. Although the rules in the parking lot indicate that the special parking space for the disabled is free, and a camera is placed directly above these spaces, the company has not provided any evidence that Sergej parked the vehicle in another parking space.

“It’s not a story about 30 euros, even though it’s money. They don’t have any controllers, they just rely on the camera footage that I entered the parking area. They don’t send me any evidence that the car was not parked in a disabled parking space. For which I was fined ? The corresponding permit was placed on the front panel. I also sent it to them, but they refuse to cancel the fine,” says Sergej.

Sergej points out that “ParkExpert” not only refuses to cancel the fine, but also has already transferred this case to debt collectors, as a result of which the amount of the debt has increased to almost 40 euros.

It should be noted that after the involvement of television, the company suddenly changed its position and now canceled the penalty.
