Visaginas rally was held in Lithuania on Saturday, where several Latvian crews also took part in the start.
In total, the athletes had to complete ten speed stages (56.14 km). 75 crews went to the start.
Estonian athlete Egon Kaur won the victory with the improved “Hyundai i20 Proto” car, who overtook Giedra Notkus (Skoda Fabia R5) by 3.6 seconds in a fierce battle. Third – Nedas Radišauskas (Skoda Fabia R5).

Estonian Kaspar Kasari (”Ford Fiesta Rally2”) was fourth, while Kalvis Blums/Raimonds Zeiļuks (”Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI”) were fifth, separated from the fourth place by only 0.45 seconds. Mārtiņš ķikusts/Gundars Berķis (“Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII”) remained in the top ten. It should be noted that the crews of Bluma and Ěikusta won first and third place in the AWD class! Jānis Grīnbergs/Jānis Strazdiņš (BMW 330i E36) were fourth in the 2WD+ classification.
Benas Šimkus (”Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX”) took the victory in the Lithuanian rally sprint, while Andris Spilva/Mārtiņš Krieviņš (“Subaru Impreza GT”) took third, despite a 20-second penalty. Two seconds separated our crew from second place. Gatis Ābelītis/Indulis Sloka (”Subaru Impreza WRX”) finished ninth in the rally sprint. Due to technical reasons, Kristaps Lācis/Ivars Lācis (Volkswagen Golf II) withdrew from the competition.

One of the favorites Tema Asunmās (Hyundai i20 Proto), who retired in the fourth lap due to an engine failure, as well as Martins Samsonas (BMW M3X E46), who returned to the rally using the Rally 2 system, did not reach the finish line.
