JDFS “Alberts”, one of the teams that made a claim in the Premier League, did not use the excellent start of the game against “Riga” backups. Within the first ten minutes orange ones achieved a two-goal lead. First, after a free kick by Dāvjas Indran, Richards Korzans put the ball into the goal, scoring his team’s first goal. Korzan himself received the ball with his back to the goal before reaching the ten-minute mark. The striker threw the ball in the air and after a turn hit it into the near corner of the goal to make it 2-0.
The team coached by Artūrs Zakriševskis lost their first goal at the 20-minute mark, pushing the opponent into a fast transition. Alex Ogunji rushed forward like a rocket, ran down an opponent and sent a pass into the penalty area. The ball passed by Ogunji was received by Aleksei Petrovs, who reduced the deficit of the second team of “Riga” to one goal. The score changed again early in the second half when Ogunji registered his second assist. The Nigerian played the ball back to the young Cameroonian Karl Wassom, who sent the ball with a great long-range shot into the fortress of German Malinis, drawing a 2-2 draw. Thus, JDFS “Alberts” is currently three points behind the leading team of the tournament.
“Valmiera’s” backups scored two goals in the middle of the first half and ended up winning 1:2 against AFA “Olaine” football players. In the opening part of the second half, Ingars Pūlis scored his second goal, receiving a pass addressed to Richmond Ovos and sending the ball past Patrik Balodis in front of the goal. The backup captain of “Valmiera” also went for a “hat-trick”, but the Olainian defender Elmārs Gēgers put his foot in the path of the ball and sent the ball into his own goal. Thus, the second team of “Valmiera” won 3:2.
The backups of the Latvian champion team RFS defeated the players of “Ogre United” with a score of 5:0. If until the end of the first half, the second team of RFS was ahead by only one goal, then in the second half, Leo Dalbiņas had to kick the ball out of his net four times.
