The man writes ironically: “Well, why can’t you see the traffic lights? However, Riga City Council and traffic “experts” Olaf Pulks and Vilnis Ķirsis will be able to be proud of the fines collected from drivers who not only did not see the red light, but also the traffic light in the evening sun.”

The Riga City Council also reacted to this post, adding a comment: “This traffic light is probably more difficult to see from a certain viewing angle, but it should be noted that there are 2 additional traffic light backups in this place – on the opposite (left) side of the roadway and on the traffic light bus above the road lanes. The solution has been coordinated with all the responsible institutions.”

Someone else comments on the post: “It should simply be accepted as a heavy burden of existence, non-specialists deal with traffic organization and street layout in Riga, the employed construction workers are qualified as auxiliary workers, not road construction specialists.”
