“The battery is getting stronger up here. This is made in Latvia. Currently, two types of batteries have been developed, which are currently not available anywhere else in the world, including in Ukraine. They have been tested and proven to be much better – they fly further, with a bigger load. Different types of ammunition are used here – it can be from a standard anti-tank missile to specially made projectiles,” says Uģis Svirido, representative of the company “LV-TEH”.

These are combat strike drones capable of destroying and neutralizing the enemy – even a tank if hit accurately. IRSIS UAVs are equipped with high resolution cameras and a wide range of control channels. They have a range of 12 to 15 kilometers.

“There are reconnaissance drones that fly and watch the area and help. And these drones come in a second wave, usually two or three, depending on the target, and do that final target destruction. If a successful such batch would arrive at the right place on the battlefield, if the opponent was the type that should be destroyed, equipment worth 40 to 50 million could be destroyed,” says Kārlis Krastiņš, representative of “Support AZOV Latvija”.

18 out of a total of 103 drones in this aid shipment were provided by patron Vilis Vitols and his friends. Before his 90th anniversary, Mr. Vitolas sent out invitations, where instead of personal gifts, he asked his guests to donate for the purchase and shipment of drones to Ukraine.

“This was done because it is the greatest need at the moment, because we are not only defending Ukraine, we are also defending our country. And you know, I recommend to everyone who organizes big balls, I recommend to say in the invitation – donate to drones for Ukraine,” invites patron Vilis Vitols.

The total value of the shipment reaches 97,000 euros. These drones will reach several army units, including the now legendary 3rd shock brigade, which is fighting the occupiers on the Donbas front.
