For several years, the municipality of the Daugavpils state city regularly organizes campaigns for the collection of biodegradable waste (or “green mass”) in spring and autumn. This tradition continues this year as well, with the promotion taking place from May 4 to 12. The municipality ensures the installation of large metal containers on the territory of the municipality at the following addresses:

  • at the intersection of Naujenes / Vecpils streets (Ruģeļi neighborhood);
  • At the intersection of Alberta / Kaiju / Meža streets (Mežciemas neighborhood);
  • at the intersection of Tukuma / Aglona streets (Jaunbūves neighborhood);
  • at the intersection of Sigulda / Sloku streets (Jaunbūves neighborhood);
  • At the intersection of Transporta / Kajnieku streets (Nīderkūnu neighborhood);
  • at the intersection of Zemnieku / Austiu streets (Judovka neighborhood);
  • At the intersection of Zeltkalnas / Līkas streets (Forštadte neighborhood);
  • At the intersection of Zērvju / Upes streets (Griva neighborhood);
  • at the intersection of Oškalna / Gaujas streets (Griva neighborhood);
  • At the intersection of Nīcgales / Caunu streets (Poguļanka neighborhood).

Only biodegradable waste, such as tree leaves, cut or dry grass, tree or shrub branches, generated during additional cleaning of adjacent territories owned by the municipality may be thrown into the containers. On the other hand, it is strictly forbidden to throw out household waste, construction waste and hazardous waste.
