Shocking news received from Daugavpils region. A child fell out of the window of an apartment building. Fortunately, the injuries are not very serious, but this does not change the essence – the negligence of the parents is obvious, reports “Degpunktā”.
The news has spread on social networks that a kindergarten-age child has fallen out of the window of an apartment building in Kalkūnis, on the outskirts of Daugavpils. Police confirm – it is not fake news. The incident was actually recorded on Monday.
“Around At 19:30 in the evening, the State Police received information that a three-year-old child left without parental supervision had fallen from the 2nd floor of an apartment building in Daugavpils. As a result of the fall, the child suffered physical injuries and was taken to a medical institution, but his life is not in danger at the moment,” explains State Police representative Simona Grāvīte.
The child’s mother is now in trouble up to her ears. The police have serious complaints against the woman.
“The police have started criminal proceedings and the investigation is currently ongoing. The child’s mother was found to be almost three per milliliter intoxicated, accordingly she was taken to a medical institution for recovery,” says the representative of the State Police.
