Bricis issues an Urgent Notice to the residents

The vibrations caused fear and feelings that surged in the moment. Some tried to look for logical explanations – was it an experiment or a natural phenomenon discovered by chance? However, despite all the mentioned speculations, one thing was clear – something had happened that surprised and shocked this peaceful country.

Law enforcement phones were flooded with calls and messages, and government officials rushed to offer explanations and comfort. The State Seismological Service announced that the type of seismic activity that had been observed was unprecedented in the history of Latvia.

This raised even more questions and fears. People began to realize that even the cozy piece of land in Latvia was not protected from the force of global nature.

“I have received notifications from the direction of Liepāja and Durbe,” explains Toms Bricis, who has extensive experience in the field of weather news, on the chat platform “X”. He shares interesting information while also listening to the experiences and opinions of others.

“Around 11, something happened that resembled a small earthquake. If anyone has any testimonials or information please share – it might help!” he adds in his post.

Many residents of Latvia, who have responded to Briča’s news, confirm that they have observed a slight vibration of windows and doors.

“Yes, there was a shaking in our house around that time as well, and it seems to have happened again after a while. I think it must have been a strong wind because the doors and windows started vibrating,” one commenter shares.

Another commenter reveals that all the windows in his house shook, and that someone has experienced similar vibrations in other places, including Liepāja Hospital.

“Was it an earthquake?” asks one of the commentators, who works in an industrial company, adding: “Every now and then someone gets dirty, but this time it was good and long.”

“Looked like it might be a strong wind, but probably not,” another commenter replies.

Other commentators try to find parallels with the recent earthquake in Romania. “Three hours ago it was in Romania. Maybe this is an ‘echo’,” emphasizes one of the commentators.

Another commentator observed the shaking in Ropaži, stating that around At 11.20 the door to the room started shaking as if someone was trying to enter the room. This event continued for a few seconds.
