Working people are invited to apply for study vouchers for free English language and computer studies
The State Employment Agency (NVA) has announced applications for lifelong learning vouchers for participation in free English language and computer courses for working and self-employed persons. In the Competence Development Center of the Zemgale region (ZRKAC), nine English language and five computer courses will be implemented, in which you can participate with the received training voucher.
Employed persons or self-employed persons who have reached the age of 50 or who have insufficient education and/or skills for the requirements of the labor market, as well as employed or self-employed persons who have a certain or predictable disability, are invited to apply for training.
There are three steps to register for a voucher for English language courses:
- Before registration, you must take a test to determine your level of English. You can do it HERE. At the end of the test, please write your name, surname and contact information;
- You must go to the NVA website HERE and complete the test “Assessment of skills“. The fact of passing the test will have to be confirmed at the time of filling out the application form. To save the test results, the customer must log in to the website http://testi.ekarjera.lv,using latvija.lv means of authentication;
- You have to register to receive a coupon on the NVA website HERE , selecting a set of programs from the beginning and then an educational program.

- You must go to the NVA website HERE and complete the test “Assessment of skills“. The fact of passing the test will have to be confirmed at the time of filling out the application form. To save the test results, the customer must log in to the website http://testi.ekarjera.lv,using latvija.lv means of authentication;
- Before registering, you must also complete a second test to determine your level of computer skills (DigComp), using the MyDigiSkills test (the PDF document generated at the end of the test needs to be saved in order to certify the level of knowledge of computer skills at the chosen educational institution);
- You have to register to receive a coupon on the NVA website HERE, by choosing a set of programs from the beginning and then an educational program.

After submitting an application for an English language and computer skills training coupon, the NVA will evaluate the person’s suitability for participation in this lifelong learning program. The person filling out the questionnaire will be personally informed about the receipt of the coupon to the e-mail specified in the registration.
When a person has been granted a study voucher, he must register for studies on the NVA CV and vacancy portal https://cvvp.nva.gov.lv, choosing the educational institution and the educational program that the person wants to learn from the list of NVA education offers.

The courses are organized by the State Employment Agency (NVA) of the European Social Fund project “Skills development for adults” no. 3.1.2.5.i.0/1/23/I/CFLA/001″, implementing the training event “Training of persons at risk of unemployment (lifelong education)”.
