During the conference, more than 100 WEB 3.0 showed interest in Latvia’s offer. representatives of industry companies, who had the opportunity to ask questions to representatives of the Latvian delegation in person. Companies from Switzerland, Romania, Turkey, UAE, India, Great Britain and the Czech Republic showed the most interest.

More than 10 representatives of Latvian companies attended the event in person. Observations during the conference show that the Latvian state stand was the only state stand that was created when the public sector cooperated with local industry professionals.

“Most often, interest in Latvia is topical, because companies are actively looking for opportunities to obtain a European Union crypto-assets or MiCA license and, therefore, the country in which to register their activity in order to later operate on the EU market. In the ranks of potential companies, there were good negotiations with representatives of various exchanges, crypto-asset brokers, payment institutions and other financial technology service providers. Thank you to the Ministry of Economy and LIAA for the cooperation in creating the first Latvian stand,” said Mārtiņš Puķe, board member of the Latvian Blockchain Development Association.

“Token2049” is one of blockchain and WEB 3.0. for the industry’s most popular conferences, which took place in Dubai from April 18 to 19. The event is usually attended by more than 20,000 visitors and approximately 5,000 companies from around the world participate.
