This week, the weather has not spoiled the residents of Latvia. At the beginning of the week, the ground was covered with snow, the weather was rainy, windy and cool. However, very soon everything will change. Forecasters predict that the air temperature will gradually rise in Latvia in the coming days.
Most recently, we reported that LTV Laika news editor Toms Bricis predicts that this year’s meteorological summer could start very early – already at the end of April. This would mean that it would be the earliest summer onset time recorded in Latvia.
Different forecasts show that next week the thermometer will rise above the +20 degree mark in many places.
Although good and pleasant weather is expected, atypically warm for April, meteorologist Jānis Tralli says on the microblogging site “X” that some forecasts show that the warm weather will not last long in Latvia.
He mentions that +20 degree heat will remain in Latvia for only six days. Already on May 3, shortly before the national holiday, the weather will become significantly colder again. Even frost is possible!
