On Saturday, April 27, the motorcycle season will be opened in Riga with a motorcycle parade.

According to the information on the website of the Association of Latvian Motorcycle Clubs, the gathering of motorcyclists is planned at the shopping center “Mols” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At 13:00, the motorcycle parade will start from the shopping center “Mols” along Krasta Street to Dienidu Bridge, then along Ziepniekkalnas Street, Mūkusala Street, Kuģu Street, Trejādības Street, Daugavgrīvas Street to Spilve Airport.

A motorcyclist gathering and entertainment is planned at Spilve airport from 1:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

As the LETA agency was informed by the Riga Municipality, traffic restrictions are planned during the opening event of the motorcycle season on Saturday.

During the parade route, vehicle traffic will be closed on the route and in the streets crossing the route from 13:00 to 14:00. On the other hand, the State Police will regulate or close public transport traffic on the parade route as necessary. Some routes – bus routes 10, 23 and 26 and trolley buses of routes 4, 19 and 27 – will be diverted from 13:00 to 14:00 on the bypass road to bypass the parade streets.
