Last spring, the car dealer network “Moller Auto” in Latvia started offering the car subscription service “Moller Go”, since then the demand for these services has been growing by about 20% every month. Currently, the “Moller Go” car fleet consists of both new and slightly used cars, and in April of this year, the range of cars available for subscription was supplemented for the first time with a car model in demand in the warm season – the convertible “Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet”. As demand grows and people’s habits change, “Moller Auto” plans to introduce “Moller Go” in Lithuania and Estonia this year as well.

Evaluating the results of the first year of operation of “Moller Go”, the executive director of the “Moller Auto” group of companies in the Baltics, Izīda Gerkena, says: “Although car subscription is a relatively new mobility solution in Latvia, step by step it is being used by an increasing number of people, especially those residents who want to use a high-quality, modern car for everyday use without long-term commitments. At the moment, the most popular cars that private individuals prefer to subscribe to are rational car models, such as “Volkswagen T-Cross” and “Volkswagen Taigo”. On the other hand, among business customers, the demand for premium class car, such as the Audi e-tron GT.”

In general, “Moller Go” currently offers “Volkswagen”, “Audi” and “Skoda” brand cars for car subscription, but soon the assortment will be supplemented by “Toyota”, “Hyundai”, “Nissan” and “BMW” car models. Also, Izīda Gerkena points out that in the future, possibilities are being considered to offer, for example, camper vans and electric bicycles for car subscriptions, because today people’s daily mobility is characterized by the need to use different vehicles – larger vehicles for longer journeys and smaller, more economical vehicles, as well as micromobility means for everyday movement. in the urban environment.

“This year, we plan to expand our business by offering the “Moller Go” service in Lithuania and Estonia as well. Our ambition in the future is to offer a wide variety of subscription options for cars and other vehicles, so we are currently trying to adapt and understand consumers’ wishes, financial capacity and daily needs. Also seasonally, we feel that residents are ready to switch from one car to another, for example, choosing a convertible in the summer, and a car with all-wheel drive like an SUV in the winter, paying an equivalent subscription fee for its subscription. Of course, in addition to the added value of a car subscription, there is also a basket of included services, including free car maintenance and repairs, insurance, etc., thus making the customer’s everyday life even easier,” says I. Gerkena.

The “Moller Go” subscription includes all scheduled visits to a certified car service, OCTA and CASKO insurance policies, 24-hour roadside assistance and a replacement car if an insurance event occurs and the rented car needs repairs. Also, the subscription includes winter and summer tire change and storage, as well as car wear and tear costs.

Using “Moller Go” services, the car subscription can be done remotely by receiving the car in Riga or Ventspils. With the subscribed car, you can move freely throughout the Baltic territory and, if necessary, by agreement in advance, also outside it.
