On April 24, exciting “Mind Games” were held in Ogresgal elementary school from 1st to 9th grade. The competition was held in: 1st-3rd grade group, 4th-6th grade group. in the class group and in the 7th-9th class group.

The author of the idea of these “Mind Games” is our school’s 3rd and 8th grade parent Zaiga Gulbe, and the school’s social pedagogue Inese Gruznova also helped/cooperated a lot. Many thanks to the school director Vineta Āboltiņa for her support and involvement, as well as to the teachers and parents’ council of our educational institution.

This event was not just a simple marathon of competition, but a real sense of community and a showcase of previously acquired skills.

The purpose of “Mind Games” in our educational institution is to promote learning achievements and highlight the wide range of knowledge of students in various fields, as well as to promote their teamwork skills and cooperation. This was a great event where students could test and expand their knowledge in a friendly and exciting environment, come together as a class, learn to listen to each other and make decisions together.

The organizers of the event express their satisfaction with the eagerness and enthusiasm of the students, which was visible throughout the event. Such events not only promote intellectual development, but also strengthen community bonds by providing opportunities for young people to compete with each other and learn from each other. This event strengthened and brought to life the values of our educational institution – Safety, Responsibility, Cooperation, Belonging.

Next year, the organizers plan to expand the event and include even more categories of mind games to offer young people even more opportunities for creative expression and knowledge testing. Such measures are an essential step towards an educated and skilled society where young people can develop their potential and gain new skills and experiences.

Thanks to all the teams for participating and the organizers for this exciting event!

Also, a big thank you to our “Mind Games” sponsors, who believed in the idea of the parents of Ogresgal elementary school and allowed this idea to come true by supporting the educational institution with excellent sponsor prizes.
