Annual exhibition organized by LMS Art days celebrates its 65th anniversary this year. Art day the tradition, without losing continuity since the end of the 1950s, is an integral part of LMS and Latvian visual art life. At the exhibition Art Days 2024. View up works of painting, sculpture, graphics, textile art, photo art, installation, etc. will be exhibited, which will be presented by more than 100 authors – professional artists, high school and university students of visual arts and design, etc.
In the exposition of the exhibition, alongside the works of Latvian art masters, the performance of young authors will also be on display, proving how the process in visual art makes its own contribution and outlines the tendencies of democratic art. Art can serve as a platform for a bright young talent to shine or for a mature artist to create intrigue about creative novelties.
Art day selected topic View up invites you to go in search of a new artistic identity at a time when poverty is not a sin, when in the context of the bloodthirsty war in Ukraine, human instincts urge you to create and fear turns into guessing the future. The title of the exhibition invites artists to look for new creative forms and to address the presence of these themes through the means of visual language.
Evaluating exhibitions Art Days 2024. View up the artistic performance of the participants will be awarded by LMS at the opening of the exhibition on April 26 Art day award to two artists – for lifetime contribution and for convincing creative performance. Art day the prize of the exhibition is the opportunity to hold a personal exhibition in the LMS gallery.
