Traffic on the Riga ring road near Upesciems from Tuesday to Friday, April 5, will be organized in one lane, representatives of “Latvijas valsts ceļi” (LVC) inform.

LVC states that until Friday, April 5, repair works of deformation joints on the bridge over the Great Jugla on the Riga bypass (A4) near Upesciems will take place.

During the repair works, the traffic will be closed in one of the driving lanes, and it will be regulated by a temporary traffic light, as well as if necessary, traffic regulators will be involved.

The driving speed limit is set at 70 kilometers per hour (km/h), while at the work site – 50 km/h, as well as the width limit – 3.5 meters.

Traffic organization will be in effect around the clock during the repair works.

LVC advises drivers to expect slower traffic and longer travel times when crossing the repair site.

LVC was established at the end of 2004 and is owned by the state. The company manages the national highway network, administers the financing of the national highway network and organizes procurement for the needs of the state. LVC manages more than 20,000 kilometers of national roads.
