Cleanliness matters

Before you choose the height of the pavement, be sure to consult with specialists so that you don’t have to change it later or look for other solutions.
Winter maintenance
In the climatic conditions of Latvia, where it is impossible to avoid snow, frost and cold, which is not favorable for concrete products, because they contain small capillaries where water can accumulate, it is important to take care of the pavement even in winter. Cold-heat cycles can change several times during the winter, so pay attention to the quality of the products.
It is also important to think about how the snow is cleaned in the cold winter months so as not to damage the pavement. Problems can be caused by improperly selected cleaning agents and tools, as well as the use of low-quality salt. This approach can lead to pitting, spalling and concrete corrosion. It is best to replace the salt with sand, which, of course, should be removed from the cover in the spring.

Although we often follow all the prerequisites so that the pavement retains all its properties and lasts a long time, it often happens that one of the sections cracks. But remember, replacing these places is a quick fix. The most important thing is to notice the cracks in time and replace the specific pieces with new ones.
