From 12:00 to 16:00 in the “Ziemeļblāzma” Palace of Culture, the event “Great Easter has come” will take place. Riga Dance Club, post-folk music group “Katrīnas Dimantas Trio”, ethnic music group “Zeidi” will take part in it, the event will be led by Salvis Sprūžs.
From 16:00 to 17:00 the Easter concert “Halleluyah” will be held in the Great Hall of the Culture Center “Mazā gilde”, in which the ancient music ensemble “Ludus” (artistic director Māra Birziņa), Rūdis Cebulis (soprano) and Beatrice Vilde (mezzo-soprano) will take part.
On the other hand, on Monday, April 1, from 12 to 2:30 p.m., the VEF Culture Palace will host the event “Riti, riti, Saulīte!” Ilga Reizniece and Māris Muktupāvels will take part in it, Zoja Heimrāte will lead it. There will be opportunities to sing songs and play games, participate in traditional rituals and other entertaining activities, as well as swing.
From 12:00 to 17:00, the event “Easter Picnic” will be held in Mežaparka’s Great Stage in honor of the holiday. The post-folk group “Daba San” and the folklore group “Teikas Muzikanti” will entertain those gathered, as well as educational activities for children. The event will be led by Juris Mūrmanis.
From 14:00 to 16:00 in the Palace of Culture “Ziemeļblāzma” there will be jampadracis on Easter with the “Rīga” orchestra. The brass band of the “Rīga” orchestra led by Kristians Kalvas, Dmitrijs Pudovs from the Riga Circus School will take part in Jampadracī, and the concert will be conducted by Raitis Zapackis.
The program of the Easter holiday will be closed by the Spring Festival “Windstream” concert “Inspired by Paris” on April 12 at 7 p.m. in the Great Guild. Adelaide Ferriera and the “Riga” orchestra will take part in it.
