On a Sunday in March, a number of incidents were registered in the North Latgale police station, where the vehicle “Ford Focus” was probably involved in traffic violations. A vehicle has already been spotted in the west of Kārsava. The driver’s passenger took care of the video of the incident.
In the video taken by a friend, it is clearly visible that the man is changing his seat and the back of the vehicle, but this elementary “trick” cannot fool the law enforcement officers. What is happening amuses the whole company sitting in the car. The men openly mock their friend’s arrest and the work of law enforcement.
The 22-year-old Ford driver was tested for alcohol concentration and found 2.4 per thousand. He also drove a vehicle without a license. The punishment is not funny. On March 19, the man was placed in custody, while on March 25, the criminal process was handed over to the East Latgale Prosecutor’s Office for prosecution.
The two happy fellow passengers were also brought to administrative violation proceedings for not fulfilling the official’s legal requirements or obstructing the official’s activities.
